Everyone is very glad to hear of your decision to
Follow and Serve the Lord. But a decision on your part to
believe in Jesus Christ as your Personal Savior is how every lost
sinner is saved and given assurance.

Works after
Salvation
Once a person is saved then he or she should take dead-aim to
following and serving.
Romans 12:1 I beseech you therefore, brethren,
by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living
sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable
service.
Romans 12:2 And be not conformed to this world: but be ye
transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is
that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Belief for
Salvation
Following and Serving is not for Salvation, but for rewards after
Salvation. Notice the passage above is addressed to
"Brethren". Those who are already brothers in Christ are to
fill their lives with good works. The first step of the
unsaved person is belief in Jesus Christ as their Personal Saviour
from personal sin.
