The last point is where God's work benefits the
most. Sure there will be some saved and some will receive a
witness and not ask the Lord to save them, even more will receive a
Gospel tract. And this will be wonderful for a day's work.
But over the lifetime of a congregation it is the everyday labor of
the saints that will praise the Lord and save the lost. The
experience from a single public event can take a single soul through
a lifetime of evangelism.
Some have tried and it did not work
Many churches have used booths at festivals, etc. But
churches using our methods and suggestions say their expectations
were met and continue to use them.
How it works ...
1. We train a few as Shift Leaders to ask 3 Questions to seat
prospects to whom Workers witness. See the
3 Questions for Greeting, Meeting and Seating prospects.
There is much more in the above Slide Show than is
taught at the training. This slide show is designed for full time
Public Event Missionaries. First time Shift Workers are held to the
first 9 screens.
2. The Shift Leaders are trained in a
special session.
It takes about 1 hour. 15 minutes for what to do. 45
minutes for what not to do. It is that simple
3. The Workers are solicited and trained in
a regularly scheduled service.
Trainings can occur the same evening.
This is how we beseech Workers to volunteer.
* Show them God expects it - we do not pound God on their head
and shoulders.
* Show them they will only witness to people who have already ASKED
TO SEE IT - this is a huge relief.
* Show them they do not do the saving. God does the saving. They do
the telling. - this takes away fear of failure.
* Show them that they can read a special
Witness Pamphlet which
- relates the plan of salvation
- takes the prospect to a prayer
- warns of insincere profession
- leads to a
Decision Card for follow-up info
The
Witness Pamphlet helps remove the fear of "telling it wrong". It
also cuts back on hours of classroom work. The Worker jumps in and
within a few prospects is nailing down their witness, on their own,
with confidence, in a hands-on manner.
Members who have never witnessed or have not
witnessed in a long time almost always see fulfillment. After all,
the prospect is found and sent to them, so all they must do is
present the plan to someone who has asked to hear it.
