As a former solo-pastor we know real
problems are apt to be
introduced through the wrong kind of Pulpit Supply.

Not long after we took our first church, we
had to be away to attend a family funeral,
we asked a fellow pastor (Sister Baptist
Church) to recommend
someone. He suggested a man from his
church and from the same Bible College
(Baptist) from which we graduated. We felt good
about the plan.
* Half of the plan worked. We were
able to attend the funeral.
* The other half did not. Most in the
church were either angry or disappointed.
Of course we were able to make explanations
and corrections and move-on without further
damage, but there were a few, for a while,
who doubted our ability to make choices for
the church.
Every single member is important and so is their individual
contentment. The Shepherd must protect the sheep.
