Background
I was saved at Rocky Creek Baptist Church, Mission Valley, TX (Victoria, TX) in 1976.
We are also supported by them. www.RockyCreekBaptistChurch.org

My wife and I have been doing Public Event ministry since 1979.

I graduated from Hyles-Anderson College in 1985
with a Bachelor Degree in Theology (Their Seminary Course)

I pastored the Heritage Baptist Church, Post Falls, Idaho, from 1986 to 2000.  Pastor Tim Haveman can be contacted at hbcpfpastor@aol.com
We are still members there and are tithers.

We support missionaries as well.
They can be seen at ... http://www.andresusa.com/06-sundries/our-missionaries.htm

We are missionaries out of Amazing Grace Mission, Dayton TN
www.agm-ffci.org - info@agm-ffci.org
We have been working with them since 2000 and are featured on their Web Site.

Of course we realize that other men do not make us legitimate, but this gives you an idea what we have been doing.

We are both in our 60's, but are very active.

Mission
Our mandate from the Lord is to help ...
* Churches
* Christian Colleges
* Mission Boards
* Church Planters
* Individuals
... to see the value of a Public Event Soul Winning Booth.

TOP

Team Soul Winning
We go after the task with Team Soul Winning.
Using a Shift Leader to Greet, Meet and Seat prospects at tables where Workers Witness to them.
* One person finds the prospect
* Another does the witnessing

Training
Since time for training ...
* May be scarce
* May not exist
* May be ignored by members
* May have an ocean between us
... so we split the job in half.

TOP

Split
We train 2 jobs at the same time so that church members only have to learn half the job.

Since a single Shift Leader can keep 1-6 Workers busy, it does not take as many working up front in the booth.

Explanation ...
The Shift Leader learns 3 Questions and uses 3 Doors and a sign to Greet, Meet and Seat the prospects.  The sign says, "See 3 Things God Cannot Do"

TOP

3 Questions
1st Question
As people pass by, the Shift Leader simply asks people, the 1st Question: "Have you seen the 3 things God cannot do?"

As they either answer, or simply stop, or even merely look his way, the Shift Leader begins opening the doors.
* 1st Door - God Cannot Lie
* 2nd Door - God Cannot Change
* 3rd Door - God Cannot let us into Heaven, unless we are Born Again.

2nd Question
Shift Leader asks the 2nd Question, "Are you 50, 75 or 100'% sure that you are Born Again?"

3rd Question
No matter what they answer, the Shift Leader asks the 3rd Question, "But, if I could show you how you could be 100% sure, you sure would like to see it wouldn't you?"

If they answer almost anything but, "Yes", the Shift Leader reminds them, "I am not asking you to be born again, but to just see what it takes. I am sure you would like to just see it, wouldn't you?" Occasionally the 3rd Question must be repeated, but nothing else.

Shift Leader Training
The Shift Leader does not have to be prepped with Bible verses to counter act their objections, therefore he can be trained in an hour.

Worker Training
The Workers are trained at a single regularly scheduled church service.  We give them a Witness Pamphlet to READ to the prospects.
Or they can use the New Testament or whole Bible if they have experience.

TOP

Powerful Concept
Workers are told that they will only witness to prospects who have already ASKED TO SEE how to be born again.

Witnessing Tool
The Witness Pamphlet takes the prospect
* through a witness
* to a suggested prayer
* to a warning about insincerity
* to assurance
* to where they can receive more help.
We have used this method in all 50 states and on 4 continents.

TOP

Decision Card
After the Worker finishes with the Witness Pamphlet they obtain contact information from the prospect with the Decision Card.  We have about an 80-90% success rate in getting this information.

Picture your Church Members
* Learning to witness
* Winning the lost for the first time
* Winning the lost for the first time in a long time
* Following through for contact and Discipleship
* Becoming experienced, confident

Will this work in my vineyard?
It is not a gimmick.  It is a simple, logical approach to asking the lost the right question:

"If we could show you what it takes to be born again (saved), you would like to just see it wouldn't you?"

Many, many people do not mind SEEING something, if there is no commitment to actually doing anything up-front.

If you ask them if they want to be saved, they may say, no, not knowing what it takes.  This has a subtitle tone of asking the prospect to commit to the UNKNOWN.

Since the Shift Leader is asking them to see something, just see it, when the prospect sits down with the Worker, the Worker feels comfortable in being able to witness to a willful listener.

The Worker does not experience a lot of rejections, does not feel compelled to experience a lot of classroom training in Scripture verses to meet objections.

The Shift Leader who uses the 3 Questions, also avoids confrontational issues and combats objections, which are few, with the statement, "Remember, I am not asking you to be born gain, but to just see it, what would it hurt to just see it?" or reiterates the 3rd Question.
