How can my church have people
like the Biblical Andrew who was saved
and instantly wanted others to come to Jesus?
*
Answer ...
John 1:40 "One of the two which heard John speak, and followed him, was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother."
John 1:41 "He first findeth his own brother Simon, and saith unto him, We have found the Messias, which is, being interpreted, the Christ."
Opportunity is what you are looking for? If people do not have an opportunity,
desired action cannot take place.
Michael came by the booth in Great Bend, KS. After seating him at a counseling table with an open Bible, he gladly received Christ as his Saviour.
Most of the fairs in Kansas do not charge admission and many come everyday it’s open. Michael came back the next day, but this time he had brought a friend, whom he positioned right in front of the booth and stepped back a little. As the friend was being seated, he looked at us and smiled approvingly and said, “I brought him”.
Since new converts are aware that we will be there every day of the fair, they have opportunity to bring or attempt to bring friends. Our presence offers the opportunity for them to become instant “Andrews”.
This happens at almost every event in which we set-up our booth.
* We have seen teenagers dragging friends to us.
* One girl brought 16 of her friends and relatives.
* One teen boy was saved (his friend was already saved) about 8 pm and they
spent the rest of the evening rounding up their friends to come hear the Gospel.
A local fair or festival would be a good place to start. Contact us, so we can
show you how simple it is to get started, with minimal prior training, fears
removed and wonderful results.
