Home / FAQ / How to Use the Fair Booth to Get People in ChurchWe had 40+ professions
last year at a 4 day event, How Can We Use the Fair Booth to Get People into Church?Up-Dated - Monday, October 06, 2008 Table of Contents It is difficult to get people into
church for a multitude of reasons.
Raising the Number of Professions The very best way to get people seated in the booth is with the 3+3+3= Seated Method, which employs the 3 Doors and 3 Questions and inside of 3 minutes a person can be well on their way to hearing the Gospel. I would need to speak to the person who is in charge of the booth to ensure this method is used correctly. By this I mean, use a Shift Leader up front to Greet, Meet and Seat the prospects so the Workers at the tables can witness to them. God must do the saving. But God is waiting for a Christian to speak the message or hand out a tract to get the ball rolling.
Getting them to Church?
Watch how this Works! Since your efforts are blessed in every situation, you win no matter what the prospect does. Contrarily, the church does not always win unless it is involved in witnessing or receives a new member. So you might say, our best work is for Christ, not the Church. I understand that the Church and Christ are inseparable. Analogies never hold perfectly. The point is to look for the positive (Jesus is lifted), not the negative (no visitors).
Follow-up, but Connect
First
But listen to this We can say that making a connection with the prospect is important. Illustration: A pastor told me of another pastor who would go to the hospital to see his members. He would walk in the patient's room, take over the conversation from other visitors, stay less than 5 minutes and after leaving, everyone in the room felt much better and commented about how he cares for his members. Including the ones who were not sick. He connected with them. There was not a display of how he felt, but a connection to how he felt. It is not a gift, but a skill which can be learned. I have tried to practice this myself and have learned a little. My wife is a lot better. Her prospects want to hug her, they ask for her phone number, they want to know what church she goes to. She connects.
