My ****
lives in Hawaii. When I tried to talk about the Lord, ***
said I'm already in paradise I don't need to worry about where I'm going
when I die. ***
has cancer now and is very stubborn and closed to hearing the things of
Jesus. ****
says I am not ready for that and then closed the conversation.
Do you have any suggestions? M.

Answer ...
Sorry to hear about your ******.
This is a common problem depicted by many in the Bible. One in particular that came immediately to mind was Hosea's wife. She was caught-up in the world. More than just delinquent, but wayward and obstinate. The people and the things of the world got her attention and she became self-willed.
Hosea could not lead her in the right direction, away from perverse and immoral conduct as well as disobedience to the Lord,
nor her bad companions.
The Lord stepped in with a hedge or wall of thorns.
Why?
So she could not find her old paths in the world.
What will happen?
She will try to continue for a while in the manner she wants, but the hedge will not allow communication or interaction.
What are the results?
She will tire of her efforts and the rejection of the world and seek help from others within the hedge.
See the passage below.
Hosea 2:6 "Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths."
Hosea 2:7 "And she shall follow after her lovers, but she shall not overtake them; and she shall seek them, but shall not find them: then shall she say, I will go and return to my first husband; for then was it better with me than now."
Instructions:
Pray a hedge around your ****** to get his/her attention off the world and back to his/her family.
There can be heartache here as well. Sometimes the Lord sees fit to use a hedge that is so severe that those praying may repent of what they have done and lose faith as well.
Once the hedge is prayed down, allow the Lord to do what He sees fit to do. He knows best.
Hope this has been helpful.
