you doing a Poll? "No, we are doing a survey." "What about?", I asked. TOP
Looking for Hispanics I said, "How do you know I am not Hispanic?" "I can pretty much tell by looking," she responded. "Oh, you are doing some Racial Profiling!" Her eyes got huge and she put her hands on her hips, palms down and wanted to get in my face. "I am not Racial Profiling ..." as she began to use a lot of chatter as a smoke screen for not being able to answer. "Let me give you one of these," as I handed her a tract, "It will tell you how to get to heaven." TOP
Assuming the Worse I said, It was at this point that she really got animated, loud and prissy. Of course there was no substance to what she said. It was mostly short, unrelated, wise cracks. I walked off repeating "Racial Profiling and Religious Profiling", shaking my head. TOP Shame on Me I also realize that I was doing some "Progressively Dressed" Profiling myself. And I must be good at it, I had her pegged. Anyway, I don't see anything wrong with it. It is the people who do it that say everyone else should not. People can take one look at me and know by my non-tanable, light skin and freckles and used-to-be red tinted hair, that I am English-Irish descent. Since I am only 5' 6", most conclude that my parents were not of the Amazon race. They also conclude that I would be a good target for a "Short" jokes (I don't mean duration). They don't realize that I like a good joke and I have made up a few about short people myself. To act like I was offended by a short joke would be insufferably prideful and miserably minded.
