The Question of
Why is the Word "Amen"
missing from Liberal Bibles?
The Amen in
Matthew 28:19-20 came from the Greek text, amhn amen, am-ane'. The
reason it is in the Greek Textus Receptus is because it occurred in
the Majority of the Greek texts that are still around today. It was
not "added" to the Greek texts by the KJB translators, it is there
because of the Majority Text Rule. (I know you all did not hear the
volume in which I wrote that, but I wrote it very loudly.) Since it
is in the true Greek text, why do latter-day translations leave it
out? It is because they are using the wrong Greek from which to
translate. Some of those wrong Greek texts do have Amen and some do
not. These wrong Greek texts are easy to spot because they do not
agree even amongst themselves and their translators have no method
of choosing which is correct and which is not, so they must pick and
choose on their own or use some obscure thing like culture or a gut
feeling or personal agenda.
I can understand it if someone attacked what I just wrote or defend
against it, but I cannot understand how it can be ignored. But most
will pick an isolated word or phrase and attempt to make much of
them. Address the Greek Texts. This is where the initial problem is,
then address the liberal translators who have an agenda. You can
pick on me, I am easy to push around, but please address the
problem.
Where is the methodism for choosing which Greek text? Where is the
agreed upon doctrine amongst the translators? Where is the the Word
of God? It cannot be all the liberal Bibles, because they do not
even agree amongst themselves?
