Contents Introduction "Make the Rest of my Life, the Best of my Life" Scripture Mat 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." Text Mat 6:33 "…all these things shall be added unto you." God has priorities He does not have favorites But He does have intimates. James 4:8 "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." Seeking the Kingdom is to seek the King To seek the King is to seek His preimence over your life. Our Righteousness is from God To seek personal rightstanding with God is to seek His rightstanding. Not only having His authority over us, But have His authority within us. "If you want to tell me about your redeemer, you need to look more redeemed" Faith without exertion does not have any life. James 2:20 "But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?" Faith is seen by its activity. Character is seen by it type of activity. Mat 5:6 "Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled." Aggressively go after rightstanding with God Hunger for it Thirst for it Be filled with it. Faith is not our being important to God. Faith is God being important to us. It is not what we do for Him. It is what He does for us. Faith is outward, public or private Will Rogers said, "We ought to live in such a way that we would not be ashamed to seel the family parrot to the town gossip." Mat 6:33 "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." What are "these things"? Whatever you are worrying about. 1. Finances Mat 6:19 "Lay not up for yourselves treasures upon earth, where moth and rust doth corrupt, and where thieves break through and steal:" 2. Food Mat 6:25 "Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?" 3. Fitness Mat 6:27 "Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?" 4. Fashion Mat 6:28 "And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:" 4 Lessons You don’t need what you want You don't want what you need. God doesn’t give us what we want. God does give us what we need. 1 Statement to take with you Live from hand to mouth His hand - our mouth Is there anyone who does not worry about something? Is there anyone who does not have to seek a closer walk with the Lord?
