Do you have an
Opposition
to being saved?

Up Dated Friday, April 04, 2014

The Following are the
Top Objections
with Pertinent Replies

These are objections to Christian Salvation,
Eternal Life, being Born Again, Saved.

Top Objections
* I believe I am a good person.
* I have done more good than bad.
* I have never murdered or raped anyone.
* For the time being, I have not decided.
* A loving God would not send me to Hell
* I do not believe in Hell or the Lake of Fire
* I already believe in God
* We are all the children of God.
* I have already done that
* Doesn't God already know where I am Going?
* Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?
* I want to pay my own way.
* I know what the Bible says, I have already read it.

Is Jesus the only way to Heaven?

There are many religions which delineate, often complicated ways, to be saved.  There are basically only 2 options offered to get to Heaven.
* Be Good - All the Religions of the World
* Thru Jesus - True Christianity

(Sorrowfully, there are some who call themselves Christian, but no longer believe that Jesus is the only way.  Notice, "no longer".  All the older religions, who call themselves Christian, used to believe that Jesus was the only way, but since it is now very popular to call yourself "inclusive", they have adopted some sort of "do good" along with trusting in Jesus for salvation, to keep from offending the lost.)

1.  Being Good
With all the honesty you can muster, can you truly say you have complete control over your behavior.  Simply stated: "Is it possible for you to keep yourself from sin?"  Even if you were able from this day forward to stay away from sin, it is already too late.  You have already sinned, broken God's law.

"For all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"
The Bible - Book of Romans - Chapter 3 - Verse 23

This being the case, "Is it possible for you to forgive yourself?"  Of course not, so you have need of a Saviour.

2.  Thru Jesus (The Saviour)
Jesus is the Saviour of all the world.
No matter ...
* what good culture, nationality, or race
* what good religion
* what good belief
* what good experience

"For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believeth in Him should have eternal life."
The Bible - Gospel of John - Chapter 3 - Verse 16

Jesus is not an option among many.

"I am the way, the truth, and the life, no man cometh unto the Father, but my Me."
The Bible - Gospel of John - Chapter 14 - Verse 6

If there is just One Way, then you would not want to miss seeing it.  Not asking you to do anything, just see it.

I believe I am a good person.

We are certain that you and many others, as well as ourselves, believe that you are a good person.  The problem is that none of us are good enough.

"They are all (every person) gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one."
The Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 3, Verse 12

Since none of us are good enough, we have need of a Saviour from sin.

I have done more good than bad.

Doing good to a large or small extent is not the criteria for being saved, nor does it get our name written in the Book of Life.

"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire."
The Bible, The Book of the Revelation, Chapter 20, Verse 15

So what does it take to have your name written in the Book of Life?

"He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels."
The Bible, The Book of the Revelation, Chapter 3, Verse 5

How does one "overcome?"

"Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God?"
The Bible, Book of 1st John, Chapter 5, Verse 5

Placing all your faith in Jesus, the Son of God, as Saviour from sin, is the criteria for an eternity with God.

Those who have placed their faith in Jesus Christ as their personal Saviour from sin have their names written as being saved, in the Book of Life.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (as Saviour from sin), shall be saved."
The Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 10, verse 13

Salvation, the New Birth, is overcoming.
* Overcoming every failure.
* Overcoming every lack of talent.
* Overcoming every disappointment.
* Overcoming every accomplishment that failed to fulfill.
* Overcoming every flood of adrenalin that faded to boredom.
* Overcoming every bank account that failed to bring a full life.
* Overcoming every sorrow.
* Overcoming every unhappy day.
* Overcoming every abuse of mankind.

Come on over to the Overcomer.

I have never murdered or raped anyone.

A person does not have to do all the bad things to be considered a sinner.  Just any one of them.

"For whosoever shall keep the whole law, and yet offend in one point, he is guilty of all."
The Bible, Book of James, Chapter 2, Verse 10

Besides, a person does not have to physically commit a sin in order to be guilty of it.

"Ye have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: but I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart."
The Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 5,
Verses 27-28

Since all are guilty of sin and condemned, all have a need to be saved by the Saviour, Jesus Christ.

"There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus (saved, born again)"
The Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 8, Verse 1

So the logical question is this: "If you could see what it is about, certainly you would like to just look.  What would it hurt to look?  It is just you and your Computer Monitor.  You can even erase the files from your Browser, showing you came to this site.  Next Screen.

I know what the Bible says, I have already read it.

I am certain that you are a smart person, probably smarter than I am, maybe even brilliant, but you are not THAT smart.  And if you are as smart as I think you are, you KNOW you are not that smart.

So, while no one is looking and it is possible for you to just SEE what personal salvation is all about, I know a smart person like yourself, will take a peek.

For the time being, I have not decided.

Even though you may not have accepted or rejected Jesus as your Saviour from sin, God sees you as a rejecter.

"He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name (Jesus as Saviour) of the only begotten Son of God."
The Bible, Book of John, Chapter 3, Verse 18

Believing enough on the name of the Lord to call on Him is the Bible way of being saved.

"For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord (Jesus as Saviour) shall be saved."
The Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 10, Verse 13

Salvation is a great concept ...
1. Eternally delivered from punishment.
2. Forever forgiven from all guilt.
3. Everlastingly in the blissful presence of a loving God.

There is not a person on the planet who would not want Salvation, true Salvation, if it is indeed authentic!

See what it is about.  If it is not true, walk away.  But you cannot walk away, if there is the smallest chance that it is true, and the greatest possibility that you can just look.

A loving God would not send me to Hell

There is no question that God loves us all.  He has sent His Son to die for our sins.

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life."
The Bible, Book of John, Chapter 3, Verse 16

But those who will not receive Jesus as Saviour from sin shall perish (not have everlasting life).  God's love is no greater than His justice and judgment.

"... it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:"
The Bible, Book of Hebrews, Chapter 9, Verse 27

His method for eternal life is faith in Jesus as Saviour as spelled out in His Word.

"He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me (Jesus), hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life."
The Bible, Book of John, Chapter 5, Verse 24

Pass to Eternal Life.  See what it takes.  Not asking you to do anything, just See It.

I do not believe in Hell or the Lake of Fire

God does not care if you believe or not in their existence. He will faithfully do as he has said.

"For what if some did not believe? shall their unbelief make the faith of God without effect?"
The Bible, Book of Romans, Chapter 3, Verse 3

To be saved to everlasting life and from eternal punishment (wrath of God) you must place your faith (believe) in Jesus as your Saviour from sin.  Saved! Born Again!

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
The Bible, Book of John, Chapter 3, Verse 36

I already believe in God

The Bible says that most believe in God, but most will not be saved

"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat"
The Bible, Book of Matthew, Chapter 7, Verse 13

Simple belief that there is a God is not the criteria for salvation, even the demons believe, but they are not saved.

"Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble."
The Bible, Book of James, Chapter 2, Verse 19

Jesus is the way.
Belief that He is the Saviour is the key.

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."
The Bible, Book of John, Chapter 14, Verse 6

Are you ready to see how to be saved?

We are all the children of God.

God loves us all, but we are not His children unless we are trusting in Jesus as our Saviour from sin.

"For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus."
The Bible, Book of Galatians, Chapter 3, Verse 26

I have already done that
(I have already asked Jesus to save me)

If we could show you how you could know for sure whether or not you have been saved already, you would like to see it, wouldn't you?

"Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new."
The Bible, Book of 2 Corinthians, Chapter 5,
Verse 17

All saved people are born again into the family of God, but they are also, born again spiritually in the heart. This is a change that God makes.

Many people turn over a new leaf, but these are changes that the individual makes. A born again person makes changes in their lives, too, but we are not talking about the changes a person makes within themselves, but the change that God makes.

His changes usually start with thoughts like ...
"I sure would like to tell someone else, what has happened to me."
"I am
saved, forgiven, on my way to heaven, born again."
"Wouldn't you like to know?"

Did you get the change
If not, quit objecting.  Start Here!

Doesn't God already know where I am Going?

Certainly!

God is aware who will be saved and who will not.  Never the less He extends His patient hand to every soul.  Gives everyone an opportunity to act on His promise of Salvation to any who come repentantly by faith to His Son, Jesus Christ.

2Pe 3:9 ¶ The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The Bible - Peter's 2nd Letter - Chapter 3 - Verse 9

Even though He already knows, this knowledge does not prevent Him from offering His perfect gift of Salvation.  Does He already know that you will not accept or does He know you will?

We think you will at least look.  Look Here!

I want to pay my own way.

We understand and you can.

It is possible for an individual to pay for his sins.  But it takes an eternity to do it, the accommodations are somewhat less than 5 Star and since it will be for the second time.  It will be needless.

1 Pet 3:18 "For Christ also hath once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, that he might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but quickened (made alive, resurrected) by the Spirit:"

Notice that He "might" bring us to God.  His payment does not make it automatic, just available to all that will call on Him as their Personal Saviour.

Titus 2:14 "Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works."

Again, it says that He "might" redeem (save, born again) from iniquity (sin).

Wouldn't this be a good time to just SEE what it takes to be Born Again?  You do not have to face anyone, nor must you defend your position.  We are asking you to just take a LOOK.  What would it hurt?
