If Salvation Were Lost
It could not be Regained

Up-Dated - Saturday, October 04, 2008

* If Salvation were Lost ...

If Salvation were lost, it could not be regained

Heb 6:4  "For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,"

Heb 6:5  "And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,"

Heb 6:6  "If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame."

It is impossible for those who were once saved, having lost their salvaiton, to renew them again unto repentance, because they would be crucifying the Lord again and again.

This means that there would be no such thing as repentance.  But the Bible is replete with passages about repenting, so then the above scripture must be saying, once that you are saved, you cannot "fall away."

Therefore, once that a person receives the payment of Christ, he can never lose it or Him.
