Cults justify themselves by demanding that the True Church or
religion has failed, evolved or no longer existed until they arrived
to revive it.
Cults insist that only they have the truth. This truth is
often claimed to be a new revelation experienced by one of their
leaders.
Cults ALWAYS have a salvation that is either apart from Christ or
includes Christ with their teachings, which is ALWAYS involved with
working your way to heaven.
Cults ALWAYS formulate a new Jesus Christ. They fashion their
Jesus in such away that He either is not God or is not the only God
or is merely godly.
The above is good to know, so Cults can be recognized. But the
following is the way to deal with them for
Salvation.

Since 1979, we have dealt with 1000's
of cult members in many different ways. The following has been
the most fruitful in dealing with their objections. They are
used to talking to people who call themselves Christians, but are
either badly backsliden, ignorant or not yet
saved.
When you attempt to match wits, you
must deal with reason. Salvation comes by faith, not by logic,
so stay away from the good arguments. Appeal to the heart.
Put all your energy in ...
1. proof, a
changed life
2. faith, salvation cannot be reasoned out, it comes by faith.
Use simple statements and questions.
* You must admit that if eternal salvation and eternal security are
true, you would want it, wouldn't you?
( Do not let them worm out of this question, they must admit that if
they could be
saved forever and know it, they would want it.)
* All you lack before jumping on this blessed offer of eternal life
with a loving God is the PROOF. Where is the proof that it is
true?
( They must admit that if the proof is available, they would want to
have it. )
* The proof is a
changed life. Not a change you make, but a
change that God makes in you.
( Many cults will claim a changed life. They have probably
changed all right, but it is a change they made. )
* When that
change comes, you will have your proof that it is true,
because the Bible promises a New Life to those with the New Birth.
"Therefore if any man be in
Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold,
all things are become new." 2 Corinthians 5:17
* The problem with this proof is that
it comes after salvation. To claim the Bible's proof, you must
do what the Bible says to do.
* I personally know that Eternal
Salvation and Eternal Security is true, because when I called on
Jesus as my God of Salvation, I got the
change the Bible promises.
Not a change I made, but a
change that God made in my life.
* As a lost sinner, you must forsake
all false avenues to heaven and call Jesus (the word "Jesus" means
in English, God Saves) as your God of Salvation.
* You can refuse to do this.
You can insist that your leaders have taught you the truth.
You can continue to live by faith in your religion. But you
have no proof, tangible or intangible. Whereas, you could come
to Christ as your personal Saviour from your personal sin and
receive the proof, if you are sincere.
* You would like to see how to come
to Jesus as God of Salvation, wouldn't you? Not asking you to
do it, just see it.
