Numbers are good, but living for the Lord for the right reasons is "great gain."

Victories
in the Vineyard
We want to take this opportunity to summarize God's blessings for 2009, the Lord gave us …
* 2704 professions of faith in Jesus - A high percentage supplied names, addresses, and passed on to churches
* 516 receiving a witness without making a profession - This is an area where accurate numbers are not possible
* 147 receiving assurance of salvation - This is another area where accurate numbers are difficult
* 77103 received a Gospel tract in their hands - Not left lying, but actually placed in willing hands
This also includes local church tracts and brochures distributed, containing the Gospel
* 292 workers from local churches helped in the booths
Some winning souls for the very first time, some for the first time in a long time
A good number ran their own booth without our being present for the event but we helped with a training session
This number is a lot larger than 292, since so many churches are now working their events from year to year without our help or training, therefore are not counted - We sincerely desire to see this to increase, enabling us to help even others
* 27 events were worked this year - There were 7 others with which we closely worked
* 44 other events in Amazing Grace Mission's Region 4 ( TX - LA - AR - MO - KS - OK - CO - NM )
We direct this region and assist other missionaries, some in small ways, others in a very decisive manner
The scope of our work has expanded - We could not have taken this on without you, our Prayer Partners
* Denny and Roberta Wallace, Don and Joy Myers as well as Paul and Donna Munden working events with us and by themselves around San Antonio - Also, there is mutual assistance with Pastor Leinneweber and Heritage BC, Spring Branch, TX. They have a clear vision for taking Christ to the lost and training members in soul winning.

We wish you could see the encouragement churches obtain when they help us in the event booths or even more so, when they begin to work their events alone …
* Souls are warned with a witness or tract
* Many, many Teens and adults are brought to the Saviour
* Some church members gaining confidence and boldness with the Gospel
* Others learning to witness
* Many getting back into soul winning after extended sabbaticals
* Some churches are able to bring in new converts into their fold and are seeing them mature in teaching, preaching, leadership and back in the soul winning booths to complete the cycle of gathering fruit, fruit that remains and fruit bearing fruit.
We are excited about how the Lord is using us and our Supporting Partners to lift Jesus and touch souls
But there is much, much more to do, since …
* not every church has a public event soul winning ministry
* not every church member is a soul winner
* not every Christian is confident and bold with the Gospel
* not every soul winner is competent in following-up and discipleship
* not every Christ-saved heart has the burden to duplicate itself in the hearts of others.
While facing the task at hand, we are grateful to each one, who …
* thinks to pray for this ministry
* gives sacrificially to keep the message going
* encourages us in the next step
* loves us through the high waters and low funds
* rebukes the demons and the scorners
* gives us confidence to not only see the vision to do more, but implement it

New Car Sales Manager
Pat and I had to buy a car. We went to the dealership, walked through the front door and the sales manager met us and directed us to a salesman. We told him what we wanted and what we could spend. I played the good guy with earnestness and hopefulness. Pat played the bad guy who was only interested in the number of years to be financed and the cost per month. As we brow-beat the salesman, we came to a stalemate and the salesman went to get the sales manager. After a while the sales manager finally agreed to the price Pat insisted on and asked what kind of work we did. (He probably thought we were executioners for car salesmen.) He then said he wanted to talk before we left. As we wound up the sale, we found the sales manager and asked what he wanted to tell us. He said he was shocked that we actually looked him up, then began to tell us about problems in denominationalism and the religious ups and downs of his family and so on. We told him that he would probably like to know what it would take for him to be sure he could go to heaven and live forever with a loving God. He said, "YES!" He listened asking all the right questions, then prayed accepting Christ as Saviour. Then he repeated over and over, "I can't believe I bumped into you two." He said, "I never go through the front door and I met you there. Then the sales man came to get me to come and negotiate the sale and they never do that, and now you came and looked me up and no one ever, ever does that." We told him, "Not only all of that taking place, but we were on our way to another dealership and decided to try this place first." He kept saying over and over, "This is exactly what I needed. I can't believe I have been saved." "I need to tell my wife." Buying a car does not have to be a dreaded experience.
