Victories
in the Vineyard
Shivaree Festival - Gatesville, TX
As always, Calvary Baptist Church and Pastor Bogan worked this
event. The Lord gave us 20 asking to be saved, 9 more receiving
only a witness and another 11 got assurance. Over 800 received a
tract in their hand.
There were many good things that took place, but one
man, a soldier and full blooded Native American sat down, even
though his friends jibbed him a about it. He was serious and said
little. With joy he asked the Lord to save him. Only God could
find a man in South Dakota, get him to Fort Hood, then have him
assigned to the detail that came over to the Festival to show off
their Tanks and Helicopters, then have him walk in front of our
booth and hear our invitation to "SEE WHAT IT TAKES TO BE BORN
AGAIN."

Denny and Roberta Wallace helped again or we helped them. The
Lord sent 30 by the booth. 20 asked to be saved, 5 got a witness
only and 3 received assurance of salvation. Over 240 gladly took a
tract.
A girl with her mother came walking up to the booth and looked up
and said, "This is where I got saved." They had seen us at a
county fair in another town where the girl was saved. Pat and both
of them recognized each other immediately. Pat remembered, because
the mother sat with the daughter during the witness. The mother was
saved already and wanted the daughter to hear it.
Later the daughter brought her father by and told him the same
thing. Pat thought she may have brought him by to hear how to be
saved, but he already knew the Lord. Writing this on paper does not
translate the excitement that the family felt, nor the 4 of us in
the booth.

Words for Soul Winners and Warners
Getting in front of the lost.
Since the unsaved will not come to church, "We have got to
somehow put ourselves face to face with the lost, in order to relate
the Gospel to them." Most of the time this can be a formidable
task. But at public events the lost come to us. "At our fishing
hole, you don't cut bait and use hooks, the catch jumps in the
boat."
We set up our booth and wait for them to walk by. We use 3
Questions to Greet, Meet and Seat them for a witness. These 3
Questions (all that must be memorized) are used to get their
attention, discover their eternal status and sit them down in front
of another worker.
1)
No Confrontations;
2) No Arguments;
3) No
Meeting Objections;
4) No Hours of Classroom Time;
5) No Community
Backlash;
6) Re-Contact Info Obtained with Short Testimony; and
much more;
7) All training is hands-on;
8) Witness only to those who
have already ASKED TO SEE what it takes to be Born Again;
9) All
witnessing is done at a table with chairs, for a comfortable,
un-rushed experience;
10) Use a Witness Pamphlet which lends itself
to be read with the prospect and given to them for their review
later;
11) Leave with new vigor for reaching the lost.
Who is reaching your community, the Lord or the devil? Tell the
Lord you will reach it for Him.

Adelio was with his family, who all asked the
Lord to save them. He seems to be another one of those kids with a
unique way of saying what happened.

I prayed to God to repent of my sins so He could
save me and I could have eternal life in Heaven with God.
Kristen obviously had the seed planted and
watered before coming to the both.

for Prayer and Praise
Pray for Amazing Grace Mission. Dr. James Gardner
has passed on to be with the Lord and leaves a big hole to be
filled. His son, John Gardner, has been president for some time and
does an excellent job. But, when one of the best leaves, there is a
vacuum for a while. Pray for our support. Thank the Lord it is has
held up well during these difficult economic times. Pray for mercy
for our nation, so that God does not give us what we deserve.
