Victories
in the Vineyard
La Salle County Fair, Cotulla, TX
Cotulla is in deep South Texas. The fair draws a good crowd
every year and we like working it because the couple in charge of
the building gives us a good spot and the local people respond. 44
made a profession of faith and 10 heard a witness, but did not ask
the Lord to save them. 840 received a tract and we never know what
all comes out of the printed message, but we run into people
everywhere who were saved from a tract. A local church is going to
help next year. The more workers, the more witnessing, the more
responses to Christ.
Live Oak County Fair, George West, TX
Pastor Traxler and Brush Country CC obtained the booth and
worked to get the word out. 35 made a profession of faith, 16 heard
but did not make a profession and over 600 got a tract. The church
was very encouraged by the response. They are growing and seeing
people saved in many other areas. A teen girl from the church was
saved. She even helped others hear the good news. Good things are
happening. God is working everywhere.
Wild Hog Festival, Sabinal, TX
Don and Joy Myers of Heritage BC in Bulverde ran this event,
again, while Pat and Steve were in George West, TX. Pastor Benson
and First BC obtained the booth space and helped work it. They had
21 make professions of faith in Jesus Christ, 400+ received a
tract. 8 got assurance of salvation. Bro. Benson provided 10
workers over the 7 hours schedule. Everyone was excited about this
evangelistic outreach and the community impact.

Words for Soul Winners and Warners
Take your prospects as far as they will go
Some ask from time to time ...
"How do you know if your prospects are
sincere?"
"If you are not sure about your prospect's sincerity, how far should
you take them?"
I gave up a long time ago in trying to figure out
who is sincere and who is not. None of us are as sincere as we
should be. Let the Lord sort it all out.
We take each person as far as they want to go. If
they pray to ask the Lord to save them, we are careful to point out
they should expect a God-made change, then let them know what to
look for. This way, if they are not sincere, they know they are not
saved, because they did not receive the changed heart. But they
also know what it takes to be saved and what to look for (Every new
saint, wants to tell someone else what has happened).
Some interject ...
"I don't want to tell someone they are saved,
when they may not be."
Good for you. We never tell anyone they are saved,
because we do not know if they were sincere or not. My wife and I
have been married for almost 48 years and she is still not sure I am
saved.
That person and God are the only ones who know if he
or she is saved. This is why we pray with all who want to, then let
them know that all saved individuals receive a God-given change.
They may make some changes and they should, but it is the God-given
change that provides the proof of actually possessing salvation.
Please understand, we are not talking about a
feeling or an emotion, but an unexpected, Heaven-endowed,
miraculous, new direction from God. Take your prospects as far as
you can, then let them know what to expect.

PRAY for more laborers. We seem to be getting down to the wire. Al
Wallace (AR, LA, OK, MI) can use help, especially at the Missouri
State Fair (Aug '09). We need help at the Texas State Fair (Oct
'09). PRAY also for AGM to be able to pay for booth fees and tracts
in all 50 states.
