for being an encouragement to us by just receiving this letter.
Every once in a while we come across something new. I was standing
in the front of the booth, when a 50+ year old man came up close and
asked in a serious tone, "Do you tell fortunes, I need to know if my
girl-friend still likes me?" All I could think of at the time was,
"No." I could have said, "Yes, I do tell fortunes and I see a
lonely life and painful eternity." Or, "I see a knothead in your
life and he looks like you." Maybe some of you have
answers I could
actually use. Of course, we would never wise-crack to someone so
misguided.

Promise for
the Pilgrim Eph 6:16 “Above all,
taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all
the fiery darts of the wicked.”
God has given
us Faith to combat the wiles of the wicked.

Victories
in the Vineyard
Spokane Interstate Fair, Spokane, WA
Pastor Alan Lehman and the members of Mountain
View Baptist Church and Pastor Greg Boyle and his members at Faith
Baptist Church did another good job this year. AGM Missionary Keith
Rife, worked the event again and everyone appreciated his dedicated
work. 47 made professions of faith. Spokane ranks with Missoula,
MT and Lawrence, KS as some of the most difficult smaller cities in
which to witness.
Kolache Festival, Halletsville, TX
Denny and Roberta Wallace handled this festival
again. The Lord gave them 11 professions, 10 received a witness
without making a profession, dealing with a total of 21. 200 tracts
were put in willing hands. Denny did not bring any Kolaches back
(that we know of).
Come and Take It Days, Gonzales, TX
Denny and Roberta Wallace were witnesses at
this event. They saw the Lord work in 8 lives that day. Don’t know
how many others got a good witness from the 560 tracts? If no one
goes, the answer has to be zero.
Calhoun County Fair, Port Lavaca, TX
Pastor and Mrs. Boldt and members of the First
Baptist Church of Indianola did another good job. They work this
every year without AGM missionaries. The Lord gave them 22
professions and 1000 got a written witness. We have known Bro.
Frank since 1976 and he has always been a faithful witness. He and
Mrs. Boldt are working with their people to touch Calhoun County.
Peanut Festival, Floresville, TX
Denny and Roberta Wallace saw 5 make a
profession of faith in just one day. 309 got a printed witness,
too. Pastor Harold Hansen is starting a church (Bethel Baptist)
there and has already called on every prospect.
Texas State Fair, Dallas, TX
We had lots of help this year. Bob and Lou
Blanton, Ed and Jane Evans, WG and Elizabeth Stavenhagen and Pat and
Steve worked in 2 shifts every other day at this killer fair. 24
days long covering 3 seasons: summer, fall and winter. Pastor and
Mrs. Shearin and members at Harvest Baptist Church in Waxahachie,
were involved again this year. The Lord gave us 454 professions,
141 received a witness without making a decision, 58 received
assurance, 26,000 got the gospel put in their hands (very few were
discarded), 653 were dealt with one-on-one. Dallas is a great place
to witness. When dealing with prospects, people walking by will say
things like: “I did that and never regretted it.” “He is telling
you the truth.” “Listen to what she is saying.”

Words for Soul Winners and Warners
Two teens sat down for a witness. One was
saved already. When the other boy prayed and asked the Lord to save
him, I went over some necessities, then asked if he wanted the
diagram I usually draw during my witness. The boy who was already
saved said, "I want it." I asked if he knew how to witness. He
said, "With this I can."

heart, forgive her.

Laura got it all straight. Indeed, we harvested where someone
had been planting and watering.
