La Salle County Fair - Wild Hog Cook Off -
Cotulla, TX
The Lord gave us 35 professions of faith in Jesus Christ, 10
received a witness without making a profession, 1 received assurance
of salvation, 800 tracts were put in willing hands. This was one of
those events where it seemed that so many were willing to SEE what
it takes to be born again. Pat and I dealt with 46 on a personal
basis. There were so many more.
Live Oak County Fair - Three Rivers, TX
We have been going to Three Rivers the last 3 years and it has
been excellent. The Lord gave us 33 professions of faith, 3
received a witness only and 1 got assurance. We handed out only 400
tracts because we spent our time dealing with people at the
counseling tables. So very many want to SEE. We emphasize "see"
because when people are approached with the question of just seeing
how to be born again, they are about 8-10 times more apt to sit down
than when asked any other question.
Wild Hog Festival - Sabinal, TX
Don Myers, from Heritage Baptist Church in Bulverde worked this
event in our stead, while we were at another. Pastor Benson at
First Baptist brought 4 soul winners and some others to just watch.
Bro. Myers sent them about 50-52 prospects and they had 25 make
professions of faith. An excellent event with careful planning and
enthusiastic participation. One person finds the prospects, the
rest do the witnessing. Now FOLLOW-UP!

Small Town Ministry
These small towns are excellent year after year because: 1)
since the events are short, we cannot deal with everyone who wants
to know; 2) neighboring small towns participate; 3) there is a new
crop of 13 year olds every year (we only deal with 13 and up, unless
we receive parents permission).
Churches should utilize these events to …
* Witness to the Lost
* Train members in soul winning
* Enhance a tract ministry
* Touch their own community or a surrounding one.
Where is the starting place?
Call us and compare schedules. We can train your members much,
much faster and simpler than packaged plans, because members learn
with live prospects, hands-on experience with very little class room
instruction.
Churches with little or no soul winning
experience have dozens make professions their first time out. They
also experience excitement, enthusiasm and a deeper desire to do
more.

Everyone is feeling the "Pain at the Pump".
Fuel prices are wrecking budgets. We have had to cut back on road
time to necessities, but there are times when it cannot be helped
and the oil companies win out anyway. If your church is able to
increase its mission giving, keep us in mind. Our ministry is not
very glamorous, but we see the Gospel presented to hundreds and
hundreds, while retaining contact info for follow-up.
Pray for our stamina. It is good, and we must
keep it there.
