Bulverde Senior Center Rummage Sale
This was a very small event, which we worked with Heritage Baptist Church, Bulverde, TX.  The church started last August and is trying to make an impact in the community, so we helped them do some soul winning from a booth at this sale.  Many contacts were made in just letting people know that there is a new church in their community. On top of that, we had 4 professions of faith. 

Year End Results
In 2007, the Lord gave us the best year we have had so far.  Thank the Lord and all of you who have supported this ministry with Prayers, Finances and Encouragement.

Number of Events - 29
These ranged from large Fairs to very small Open Air Markets and a few Parades.

Number of Professions of Faith in Jesus Christ - 1945
By Professions of Faith we mean that they prayed with us  and asked the Lord to save them.  Of course, we do not know if they were actually saved or not.  But they were earnest enough to sit in a public booth, read from an open Bible and pray unashamedly.  They are also warned that an insincere prayer will not save.  Then they are given a Bible means for knowing if they did really mean their prayer.

We take people as far as they want to go. 
* Why stop with a tract if they want to hear a witness?
* Why stop with a witness, if they want to pray?
* Why stop with a prayer, if they give us their name and address (over 90% do)?

Number of Tracts distributed - 93,031
Tracts are placed in receptive hands.  Each person must then deal with the Tract.  We find very, very few tracts on the ground.  At Parades where we might distribute 3,000 Tracts, we rarely find more than 10 on the ground, hardly ever more than 20.  The tracts we use are Received, Read and Retained (There's a Sermon here Preachers).

There is a good number of local church Tracts and Brochures that are distributed of which we do not have a count.

Number of Witnesses without a Profession - 742
This number is far less than actuality.  Many who help in the booth do not record this number.  These are prospects who will sit and listen to a witness, but do not want to ask Jesus to save them at the moment.  We feel a number of these are saved later, after having received this initial Seed Planting.

Number receiving Assurance of Salvation - 231
These people claim Christ as their Saviour, but for various reasons (mostly because they left a good Baptist Church) do not think they are still saved.  Many of these regain glorious victories.

Number going through the 3 Doors, seeing they are not Born Again - 1,000's and 1,000's
Many, many, many learn from the last door that one must be Born Again if he or she is ever to see the Kingdom of God.  This is wholesale planting and watering.  At the Texas State Fair, for instance, every Thursday was Senior Day and they came and came and came.  The very large majority would not sit and hear a witness, but most all went through the doors.  We feel very good about at least getting this much of a witness to a difficult group of people.

Number of Workers from local churches - 348
This number is exciting, too.  Some were able to win their very first convert.  Many were able to win their first in a long time.  Almost everyone of the 348 left the booth with a new excitement for Soul Winning and sharing Jesus Christ.

Some ask …
How many of these actually end up in a church?  This is a very good question.  The answer lies in the ability of the local church to go after them.  Some churches do an excellent job, having new people from their events every year, even from Parades.  If we were to ask the Soul Winning churches we work with to rate their ministries' performances, Follow-up/Discipleship would be at the bottom of the list for many.  http://www.andresusa.com/02-public-events/follow-up-soul-winning.htm this is where we keep Follow-up Info on our Web Site.

More to Pray About

Pray for our 2008 Schedule.  We are looking to help some churches start a Public Event Ministry to win the Lost and lift the members.

Pray for our health.  It is good, but don't wait until we are flat of our backs to tell the Lord about us.
