Prayer Letter
July, 2007
"… thank we God without ceasing, because,
when ye received the word of God which ye heard of us, ye
received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the
word of God, which effectually worketh also in you that
believe."
1 Thes 2:13
We must take the Word to unbelievers. If they will
believe, the Word will do an effective job. But, no matter how
powerful the Word is or how powerful God is, if the Word is not
taken to them, nothing happens at all. Pray for us.

Last month we changed our format and some
strange things happened because of it. So if part of your
letter was cut off or other mistakes, blame it on me. If it
can't be fixed by gently tapping it with a 4 lb hammer, I am in
trouble.

Training Session
Allow us to elaborate on some typical things we are
doing in the area of Training for Soul Winning Booths.
In July we were with Pastor DiMichele and his able
members at Treasure Valley Baptist Church in Meridian, Idaho. They
have had a Fair Booth and seen good success, but wanted to know what
we were doing.
Since we were not going to be able to be at their
Fair, we spent some good time with Pastor Garcia and his lead man in
Public Event Ministry, Bro. Gehlken. Basically showing them how to
seat prospects. They will train
shift leaders to do the same.
Shift leaders pass prospects to
workers at the tables. This removes
a lot of FEAR for the average
worker, because by the time the
prospect gets to him or her, the
worker knows that the prospect has
asked to see the Gospel.
Pastor DiMichele let us have Sunday night to get
folks interested, then Wednesday night to show them how they will
fit in the plan. 125+ signed up as helpers. He also let us have
an hour on Saturday night with his preachers and interns to show
them how Public Event Ministry can be used by start-up churches to
train members to be soul winners. We believe this is vital for
church growth. Where else can you train soul winners in an
afternoon's work. (Let us know of your interest.)
We feel very good about how things went and of
course we were very well received. Bro. Garcia is an excellent
host.

"We do not have any public events in our
town." - We understand. This is especially true if your
location is farther north. But there is good news. Your
"Vineyard" is not just within driving distance of your church.
Most members are more likely to help in a strange city. They
are certain no one will recognize them. We are certain the lost
in neighboring towns will not mind if you drop-in to tell them
how to be
saved. If there is a sister church there, ask them if
you can work together. If they're not interested, work it
yourself and invite them to one of your revivals, so they can
get straight. If you are not interested in soul winning in
neighboring towns, invite us in, we'll get you straight.
"How do I get started?" - Call us. We can lay
out a plan for you and your church to find events, round up
materials, train
Shift Leaders (gets people seated) and show the rest
how they can comfortably fit in (only talking to people who ask to
hear the Gospel). Once your members learn how to witness, gain
confidence and boldness, they will begin to talk to people they
know, IN YOUR TOWN. This will build any church, anywhere.

Chad knew all sin, past and future was
cared for and he knew who did it.
Letting Jesus in to be
saved is good.
But learning how to let Him for future help is great. Are
you struggling with the later part?
Cody was wanting God to know how he
felt. Now he knows that God knows.
Jesus must be a free gift or else He is
nothing at all.
Public Events are not where you might
think you would find Jesus as Saviour. The surprise element
is helpful in finding open hearts to talk to.
Forgiveness has a way of making
everyone feel better. Do you know someone who needs eternal
forgiveness?
"Weird" may not seem like the right
word, but the thought of having all sins forgiven and
knowing for sure you have eternal life may seem a little
weird at first glance.
Many at the age of 55 are somewhat
hard-hearted, but Marta was not. She saw it, wanted it and
got it.
She was 75% sure of salvation, had been
out of church for a while. In just a few minutes, she had
the joy of her salvation back. She thought she lost it. We
wrote a simple tract, to help those who think they have lost
their salvation. Write for a sheet to copy 4 to the page.

Do not write our name on the check, indicate on a separate slip,
for whom it is intended. Pastor Haveman personally handles the
mission accounts. We receive 100% of all that is sent to our
account.
Our support is ever increasing, but our vision for Soul Winning
at Public Events is ever expanding. There is always much
more that can be done. If we report that we are fully
supported, mark us down as having lost our vision and the
guidance of the Spirit.
