Thanks for taking an interest in what the Lord is
doing at the Fairs, Festivals, etc.
It is time to change our Prayer Letter lay-out
again. Going to try to use larger type. Not that we are getting
old or even that we know anyone who is getting old. But we are
acquainted with a few former young people. Of course they don't
look it. The only way we know that they used to be young is that we
have known them since the 1950's.

Shivaree Festival, Gatesville, TX
Pastor Steve Bogan and his Soul Winners at the
Calvary Baptist Church worked this event for the 4th or 5th
straight year. It is not a large Festival, but it is effective.
Recently, Pastor Brown (who also came and worked in the booth most
of Saturday) started a church in McGregor (about 20 miles away) and
one of the first to come was a family of which the lady had got
saved at the Shivaree in 2006. Something interesting seems to
happen every year. This year we had 15 professions of faith and 800
tracts were distributed. 16 received a witness without making a
profession and 7 received assurance of salvation. Notice that 38
were personally dealt with, an excellent number in a heavy Baptist
community where even the Boy Scout Troop has their own Baptist
Church.
Tom-Tom Festival, Yoakum, TX
Denny and Roberta Wallace worked this long
standing event. They had 15 professions of faith and 380
professions. We thank the Lord for this couple. They work hard and
are always ready to take the Gospel to the world.
Chisholm Trail Round-Up, Lockhart, TX
We were at this event for the second time. It is
in central Texas and an area that needs the Gospel message. We had
20 professions of faith and gave away 250 tracts. An excellent
ratio. 8% of the people passing by, sat to profess Christ as
Saviour. 2 received assurance of salvation.
Watermelon Jubilee, Stockdale, TX
There were 19 making a profession of faith, 8 sat
and heard the Gospel, but declined to pray. 440 tracts were
distributed. The Wallaces also worked this one with us. Had some
unusual testimonies from this event. Be sure to visit the Terrific
Testimonies to see what's happened. Also have made some changes in
that part of the Letter.

Some tell us, "We do no have the resources or
personnel to begin a new fair and festival ministry." We understand
their situation. Money and workers are scarce or non-existent. But
the way to add both to your church is to go after new people. The
way to go after new people is to train confident and bold (not
obnoxious) soul winners. The way to do this is with hands on
training. Where else can a church find more hands on training than
at a local or regional public event? Once members begin to see that
the lost want to hear, and they do at public events, then they begin
to want to tell them. Nothing so far will add much to the church.
It is what the church does next: take the Gospel to their Friends,
Relatives, Neighbors, Workmates and Schoolmates. Every successful
church builder agrees that winning people you already know is where
your best prospects are. It simply takes some confidence and
boldness building to start.
Let us know when and where you want to get
started.

Praise the Lord for handling our
Trailer situation.
Praise the Lord for a expanded vision for the ministry.
Pray for our health, support,
preaching meetings, training meetings, safety, booth fees, tract
costs, open hearts and spirit guidance.

Do not write our name on the check, indicate on a separate slip,
for whom it is intended. Pastor Haveman personally handles the
mission accounts. We receive 100% of all that is sent to our
account.
Our support is ever increasing, but our vision for Soul Winning
at Public Events is ever expanding. There is always much
more that can be done. If we report that we are fully
supported, mark us down as having lost our vision and the
guidance of the Spirit.
