mind, live in peace; and the God of love and peace shall be with you.” Hello from the Highways Good News! The Lord enabled us to get another car. Our old car was a 1998 and could not make another round around the block. It gave us excellent service, but like everything of this world, wears down and eventually out. More Good News! Our computer was not able to send email and had really slowed down. Figured it was something very simple and took it to the Geek Squad to be checked out. They were not able to look at it at that time, so on the way back to the trailer, we stopped by a repair shop to have them look at it. He said it was simple and would have it ready in the morning. At 3:30am (yes, I said “am”, as in very early, even before very early) we get a call from the repair man who reports on the status of the computer: “It has been stolen”. Someone had broke through the front door, stole only one computer and has not been seen since. At first, devastation set in. Much of the data was backed up, but none of the new Web Site being created. But all things do work together for good. The shop had insurance and they paid us enough to buy a new computer, even much better than the old one. Thank the Lord, He even convinced us that the work we were doing on the new Web Site was not that good and we needed to start over. Of course there a lots of inconveniences, but I was not doing anything nightly between midnight and 2am anyway. Words for Soul Winners and Warners Ask the right question! When people pass by our soul winning booth we attempt to tell them about Jesus Christ and how He is in the saving business. When it is time to ask someone if they would like to hear the Gospel, we ask this question: “If we could show you how to be born again, you would like to just see it, wouldn’t you?” We do not ask: “You would like to be born again, wouldn’t you?” They don’t know if they would or not, they have not seen what it takes. “Would you like to be saved?” Again, they don’t know, they have not seen what it takes. “You would like to go to heaven, wouldn’t you?” Once more, they do not know, they have not seen what it takes to be
saved. So we reinforce the question with: “… you would like to just see it, wouldn’t you?” Even having said it very plainly, many people still misunderstand and think they have to commit before they actually see what it is all about. Be sure to assure them with: “I’m not asking you to do anything, just see it, what would it hurt to see it?” Victories in the Vineyard Highlight – Comfort Christmas Festival, Comfort, TX 4 teenagers came by and all but one was saved. They told him he needed to be saved and for him to sit down and listen. He did and asked the Lord to save him. Afterwards he left and in a few minutes came back with another teen boy. They left and came back with several teen girls and so on for the rest of the day. Our daughter and grandson came to help about noon, so I stepped out to eat. While gone, one of the teens came by and wanted to know where Steve was so one of their friends could get saved. They found out that Steve did not have to be there, that God was doing the saving evening during lunch. Terrific Testimonies The following gleanings came from the back of Decision Cards of those making a profession of faith or receiving assurance. Cindy 38 Today I realized I was a sinner. And I did not want to be a sinner. I wanted to be saved. Today I opened my heart to the Lord and I am grateful and feel peace that I will have eternal life for the Lord has forgiven my sins. Manuel 47 Just know I feel good. I am saved and I love it. Matthew 14 I got a change of heart. Lorimir 13 I have committedmy life to the Lord. I also was born again. John 14 I have just heard what and why the happening of Jesus occurred. And I accepted Jesus into my heart. And the Bible says whosoever calls upon the name of the Lord will be saved. Peggy 16 My sins were forgiven and my life changed. Richard 18 Felt Shakey, Nervis (his spelling) Rose 49 I am born again. Points for Prayer and Praise Pray for the Mission With our international work underway, the Mission needs your prayers and support. We are expecting professions of faith from foreign countries to exceed the United States in the next few years. This requires a lot more resources. 2Th 3:1 ¶”… brethren, pray for us, that the word of the Lord may have free course, and be glorified, even as it is with you” Please Pray 100,000 tracts distributed Booth Fees Highway Safety Preaching Meetings Truck & Trailer Church Help Open Doors to Fairs 50 Events this year Repairs to trailer New Workers Health Support Praise the Lord Thank the Lord for safety and good health.
