12:9 Hello from the Highways Thank you for taking the time to read this prayer letter. You will notice in the following paragraphs how the Lord has blessed again this month. With every blessing there can be setbacks. Unexpectedly, our support fell off this past month. The Mission also needs help. The added burden of foreign works has caused us to look to the Lord for additional funds. If you or your church need a nudge to get behind us with support, let this petition be the prime mover. Our nation needs this kind of evangelism to every soul in every community. Words for Soul Winners and Warners "I can do this!" While at several events these past 2 months, we heard the above quote several times. It came from people helping in the booth. 2 of those people are currently getting 3 Door Boards made to use in their surrounding communities. Our reply is always, "Yes, you can." Rob Lahr has already got the Plains County Fair, Plains MT, lined up, booth paid and tracts acquired. Another in Missoula, MT, is getting his board built, to use in the area. Another just finished the Texas County Fair in Guymon, OK. Pastor Heckle told us he thought he could do it a year ago and he did. Thank the Lord. Another Pastor did not let us know he was working the Madison County Fair until after it was over. Pastor Hampton in Sheridan, MT, downloaded our materials from our web site, built his 3 Door Board and went to work. There are several men in Central Texas, waiting for us to get an event close by so they can help and learn how to win the lost at the fairs - festivals - flea markets - etc. When they say, "I can do this", they are saying, "Anybody can do this". Not only can it be done, but it must be, if you and I believe that the lost die every day and slip off into a dark, frightful, tormented, lonely, Godless eternity. People are not saved because God will get the message to them, one way or another. Men, women, boys and girls are saved because someone is out there telling them about Jesus Christ. God "is not willing that any should perish," but only if we tell. Victories in the Vineyard Highlight - Barton County Fair, Great Bend, KS Pastor Ken Gray, Heritage Baptist Church, won a couple at his fair and got them into church. They also won a boy at the fair who was already in their teen ministry. Bro. Gray has got a good handle on getting people from the fair to the congregation. Highlight – Texas County Fair, Guymon, OK Pastor Van Heckle tells us about a young couple who came by his booth. The young lady had been to Tabernacle Baptist Church and knew what the booth was about. She also knew that her new husband was not saved. As they came around the corner, she saw the booth and made sure he did not miss it. The preacher sat them down and led the man to the Lord. When all was done he said, "I have been wanting to do this for a long time." Praise the Lord Pastor Heckle was there to help him. Highlight - Western Montana Fair We worked with Pastor John Haveman and the good folks at Open Door Baptist Church and Pastor Tom Lemmons and his people at Lighthouse Baptist Church at the Missoula Fair. 121 professions of faith and 3600 tracts distributed. The best highlight is the interest generated for soul winning at public events in both churches. Highlight - Flea Markets We worked some Flea Markets in San Antonio, TX with excellent results. This is truly a huge untapped resource. The Lord gave us 20 professions and distributed a little over 1000 tracts. Terrific Testimonies The following gleanings came from the back of Decision Cards of those making a profession of faith or receiving assurance. Tyrone 19 I asked the Lord to forgive my sins and save me and to give me eternal life. Jeremy 20 I was born again and I know this because I felt it in my heart. He was a student at University of Montana and was working in the US Senator's booth downstairs. Ian 14 When I called out to Jesus to forgive me for my sins, I was overjoyed. I felt a sudden rush of happiness because I knew that I was born again. Amber 30's I learned more about God. I felt as though someone was really listening for once. Tim 44 Rob saved me. Thanks you very much He understood that God does the saving. Wilbur 70 Was born again. While we were witnessing to him, his wife came searching and saw what we were doing. She told the others that she had been praying for years that Wilbur would get saved. When we finished up, we asked if he attended a church. He said yes, a church that his wife was a member of. We asked "I wonder why, they never told you how to be saved?" He said "They did, but I just wouldn't do it!" We told him to tell Pat what happened to him. He said, with a smile so big, you couldn't wipe it off with an obituary, "I got saved." Points for Prayer and Praise Pray for Workers and Funds "Withal
praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak
the mystery of Christ Col 4:3 Continue to pray for more doors to open to this essential ministry. The doors are swinging wide in some countries, but the day of the Lord is drawing near. We even have some national pastors eager to help, but we must go train them. We need the funds to fly to the work. We need the finances to pay the fees and buy the tracts. Our needs are huge, but we are asking of people who know a Father who wants to help and has the rescources.
