Evolution is alive in the ideas of men
Some preachers have evolved into the idea that they do not
need to spread the Gospel outside their area. It seems they
may have bought into the notion that they must spend all their
evangelism time working in their parish.
"I don't want my people to spend all their time
trying to win people who will never be able to come to our church.
They can try to win anyone, anywhere, but consorted efforts should
be assigned to our area."
This is a quote, not from a
particular individual, but in a general way, applies to many
Pastors.
This statement has a noble sound to it, but it does not ring true. Agreed, the largest amount of time should be spent in close to the church building. But church ministry effort should be applied to reaching others as well.
Most are willing to help missionaries financially or even visit their field to preach for them. But the county next to them is somebody's else's problem.
Louisiana has
Parishes, not Churches
Every church has a mission to their Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria, etc.
As ministers of the Gospel and Members of Churches, we must tell it to everyone in our city,
county, state, nation, and planet. "Go ye into all the world"
is for each individual, each church, each mission, etc.
How can we
touch the surrounding communities?
I am glad you asked. Learn to work Public Events:

Nothing Happened
Not just attend them with tracts, but learn to work them
effectively. So many tell us "We used to do that, but nothing
happened."
One or possibly both of the following two statements
must have took place.
1. Went, but did nothing with tracts or witness
2. Went, and gave out tracts and did some witnessing, but could not
see any visible results.
If good tracts were distributed, if just a passable
witness was given, something happened. God's word will not
return void.
Lives were changed. Maybe not
changed
in the sense of II
Corinthians 5:17. But changed with the planting of a seed or
the watering of a seed. Changed because their heart was
touched, if not converted. Some may have changed from being
just a little hard to reprobate (our good deeds do not harden
hearts, but God hardens the heart of those who want to do so).
On the other hand
Some tell us what a great ministry they have at their local
fair. They made over $5000 for their teen summer camp.
One church told us they made over $80,000, while we manned a
booth
in their midst with over 150 professions of faith and could have
been more, much more with a little help.
Guidance
Just a small amount help and training in a few areas can mean a
lot of difference.
"And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." II Tim 2:2
Have us come to your
church.
* Show your members there is
something for everyone
- Tract Distribution
- Learn to Witness the way your church does it
- Witness Effectively, imparting, not just displaying
- Learn to Seat Prospects with a simple 3 Question Method
* Show them how other churches affect their communities
* Show them that one person can find the Prospects and send them to
other members who only have to show them how to be
saved
* Show them how to obtain Contact Information from Prospects with an
80% success rate. Most of the time much better
* Show them how they will only be talking to Prospects who want to
hear what it takes to be Born Again,
saved.
* Show them how to deal with the Backslidden without appearing
snobbish or superior
* Show them how to deal with those who have no eternal security in a
simple manner where 90% will thank them profusely
* Show them how a Seated Prospect
- is much easier to witness to
- will stay much longer
- will feel less defensive, even more open
- will retain more of what was seen and heard
We have what you need.
The Tried and Proven
* Equipment
* Materials
* Supplies
We can even help you raise the money.
These are not idle statements. God has given us churches all over America who have tried it and proven it to themselves.
Pastor Boldt - We did exactly what you said and saw 84 professions of faith at our County Fair
Pastor Shearin - We did it the way you told us and saw many professions at the State Fair. We also, started working events in neighboring towns, like you said, and have had over 500 so far this year (November to July).
Pastor Gilbert - One of our men has taken your methods to local Flea Markets and has seen over 700 professions so far (May to January).
How
many of these people are really getting saved?
That is easy to answer. Not near enough.
All of them asked to hear it.
All of them listened to the full plan of salvation.
All of them prayed and asked the Lord to
save them.
Over 80% gave us their name, address and phone for contact.
It is very difficult to know how many were actually followed up on,
since many live in cities with not fundamental church having a
discipleship program
(Does you church? Are you actually following up or just going by and
inviting them to church?)
We encourage witnesses to tell prospects that if they did not mean
their prayer, they are not
saved. If they did not get the
change promised in II Cor. 5:17, they are not
saved.
Everyone one of them
were presented the Gospel, which is all anyone can
really do. God must do the saving and He does
save everyone
whose heart was turned to Jesus.

letter we send to Pastors with a
Decision Card obtained from Public Events. It explains
exactly how we operate.
We contend that the problem is not in the presentation, but lack of a presentation at all. Paul felt the same way.
Phil 1:12-20¶
12 But I would ye should understand, brethren, that the things which
happened unto me have fallen out rather unto the furtherance of the
gospel;
13 So that my bonds in Christ are manifest in all the palace, and in
all other places;
14 And many of the brethren in the Lord, waxing confident by my
bonds, are much more bold to speak the word without fear.
15 Some indeed preach Christ even of envy and strife; and some also
of good will:
16 The one preach Christ of contention, not sincerely, supposing to
add affliction to my bonds:
17 But the other of love, knowing that I am set for the defence of
the gospel.
18 What then? notwithstanding, every way, whether in pretence, or in
truth, Christ is preached; and I therein do rejoice, yea, and will
rejoice.
19 For I know that this shall turn to my salvation through your
prayer, and the supply of the Spirit of Jesus Christ,
20 According to my earnest expectation and my hope, that in nothing
I shall be ashamed, but that with all boldness, as always, so now
also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether it be by life, or
by death.
Paul said to let everyone speak the name of Christ from any disposition, sincere or not, just as long as His name was mentioned. Of course he was talking about the way they spoke of him. He benefited, whether good or bad commentary.
Also, Jesus should be spoken of in the best of context, but if not, rejoice that He was mentioned at all. There are some who do no soul winning or very little, but preach about others doing it wrong. They pretend to hide behind the "Lord's Leading". Speak up about Jesus anywhere, everywhere. It is always appropriate. Shut up about the knot heads who are not saying everything just right. Let them speak, especially if you are not going to.
